Captain Cool's Corner (a.k.a. Cosmo)
Hi, I'm Cosmo, also known as Captain Cool. I'm the company mascot and some think I'm one cool Chihuahua. Even my favorite food is cool -- frozen custard.
Hope you enjoy my light-hearted corner. Captain Cool's Energy Saving Tips for August 2010
1. Repair leaky faucets promptly; a leaky faucet wastes gallons of water in a short period of time.
2. Avoid setting your home's thermostat at a colder setting than normal when you turn on your air conditioner. It will not cool your home any faster and could result in excessive cooling and therefore, unnecessary expense.
3. Avoid placing lamps or TV's near your air conditioning thermostat. The thermostat senses heat from these appliances, which can cause the air conditioner to run longer than necessary.
